When you choose to major in one of the programs in the Multimedia Communications department, your options are guided by your aspirations. Our programs, including Film, TV, and Digital Production, Journalism, and Sports Media, are intentionally diverse and comprehensive. Learn and practice your craft through Marywood’s vast array of media outlets, along with ongoing advocacy initiatives, study abroad options, a multitude of writing opportunities, and other meaningful avenues to express yourself and to listen to others. Discovering your passion and realizing your purpose as a strong communicator begins on Day One and continues throughout your time at Marywood.

As part of the offerings of Marywood's education unit, our secondary education programs in English and Spanish are recognized and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The approval process establishes rigorous standards for program quality and professional educator competency and holds licensed institutions accountable for meeting these standards.

About The Multimedia Communication Department

The Multimedia Communication Curriculum at Marywood University provides students with a comprehensive education in the communications discipline. It is a broad based program that allows you to explore advertising-public relations, digital media, audio/video production (including film as video production) and journalism. On the graduate level, you will examine a range of fields and issues, including health communication, media management, video production, media and the law and the new communication technologies.
