Sheryl Lynn Sochoka is the Director of Communications at Marywood University. As a member of the President's team, she manages the daily communication needs of the University, including public relations efforts, and supports long-term communications objectives. Her responsibilities include overseeing and/or providing support for comprehensive communications efforts and project management of key University initiatives, as directed by University leadership.
She also serves as the primary relationship manager for faculty and mission-related initiatives, guiding specific program efforts that require communications expertise. In addition to supporting the communication needs of the academic division, her work involves frequent collaboration with all other areas of the University, especially Marketing and Admissions, along with service on university task forces/committees.
A Marywood graduate and an IHM Associate, Sheryl Lynn has worked for Marywood University for more than three decades, devoting her entire professional life to the advancement of Marywood's Mission and Core Values, always with a "students first" approach. Her deep interest in Marywood and IHM Congregation history, along with her ongoing work regarding their emerging future, informs her professional efforts to move Marywood forward and to ensure the University’s continued prosperity.
